The family of a Crozet man killed in a hit-and-run incident is asking the driver to come forward.
71-year old Carroll Herring was killed March 29thafter being struck by two cars as he retrieved his mail from his mailbox.
The driver of the second car that struck Herring has been has been identified. The first driver, believed to be driving a white Saab, has not been found.
AlbemarleCountypolice spokeswoman Carter Johnson says a search is underway for the Saab, which Johnson says would have sustained front-end damage.
Police say the identity of the driver in custody will be released today.
