Harmon-Wright Sentenced

May 03, 2013 -- 11:55am

A former Culpeper police officer will serve a three year prison sentence for the killing of a Virginia woman.

A judge has agreed with a jury recommendation in the case of Daniel Harmon-Wright, who was found guilty of manslaughter in the deadly shooting of Patricia Ann Cook in February 2012.

During the trial, Harmon-Wright testified that he fired in self-defense at Cook because his arm was caught in her car window and she was starting to drive away.
