Coast to Coast with George Noory
One hundred thirty-four workers in Crozet are expecting layoffs after the company that owns Musictoday announced Thursday it is closing its Crozet location.
The Daily Progress reports parent company Delivery Agent has issued a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice, or WARN, to employees advising them of the expected layoffs at least 60 day in advance, as required by law.
The Progress reports the human resources director at Delivery Agent in Crozet is reportedly not aware of the planned layoffs and closing notice.
The closure of the business is also not certain, however, as WARN notices can be issued to companies that are restructuring or selling the business, but intend to keep their employees.
