The city of Charlottesville is offering prospective builder some parking and development grant incentives to complete the now-derelict landmark Hotel.
Among those incentives is leasing 75 parking spots to the Landmark in exchange for a portion of the Landmark parking revenue.
The city would pay back a certain amount of the hotels taxes, if they reach a certain number of visitors.
Charlottesville mayor Mike Signer says in return, developer Dewberry Capital would have to get the building inspected and completed, and provide abut 200 new jobs.
City council will discuss the plan at the next meeting February 21st.
