One person is dead following a Saturday morning accident involving three people Route 29 in Nelson County. State Police report say 78-year old Dolly Lasey of Keswick, succumbed to her injuries at the University of Virginia Health System. Her husband Frank is still listed in serious condition. The Virginia State Police says around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, the Lasey’s a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica stopped at a stop sign on Route 617 and began to cross Route 29, when it pulled out in front of a tanker truck. Troopers say the tanker tried to avoid minivan, but ran into it and crashed into a ditch. Both Dolly and Frank Lacy were taken to the University of Virginia Health System, Dolly with life-threatening injuries. She passed away on Sunday. The driver of the tractor-trailer, David W. Tregoning, 58, of Frederick, Md., was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover.
