(Metro) With summer officially starting June 21st, an expert at a company that makes mosquito repellents has some tips for cutting off the little bugs before they strike.
Doctor Tom Mascari at S.C. Johnson says the first thing to do is to check your yard for standing water and get rid of it.
His second suggestion is to wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants, and remember that mosquitoes appear to dislike light colors and like darker ones.
Also, if you use a mosquito repellent, make sure it covers every exposed area and reapply it after any contact with water or excessive sweating.
