Albemarle County Police are using message boards to promote safer driving on Route 29 North and South, the busiest road in Albemarle County.
The high volume means that there are many crashes not only on 29, but also on the roads leading to it.
Carter Johnson, a police spokeswoman, says that tailgating, speeding, and distracted driving are all big problems for drivers on 29. She hopes that the message boards will make drivers think twice and make sure they are driving safely.
