(Metro) There's one less fee you'll have to pay starting July 1st.
Governor Terry McAuliffe signed the measure this week ending the monthly "account maintenance" fee you pay for your Virginia E-ZPass transponder.
Right now you pay a 50-cent or one-dollar fee every month depending on what equipment you use and the fee provides about five-million dollars annually for the state.
Some of the difference will be made up with the fee the state gets from toll facilities and that fee on operators will be raised.
