Budget Solution Likely

(Metro) The newly reconfigured Virginia state Senate is likely to pass a budget when it returns to work tomorrow. 

The shocking resignation of Democrat Phillip Puckett flipped the Commonwealth's upper chamber to Republican control, and the GOP wants to pass a spending plan that does not include Medicaid expansion. 

A possible one-point-35-billion dollar budget gap is adding urgency to the extra session.
