(Metro) Federal health officials continue to warn Americans about this year's flu outbreak.
Officials with the Centers for Disease Control say this year's flu season is shaping up to be the worst in a decade.
Forty-one states are already reporting flu cases and 29 of them have high or "severe" levels of influenza cases.
Eighteen children have died nationwide from the flu so far.
CDC officials say with three more months of flu season still to go, it’s important everyone gets vaccinated to help stop the outbreak.
