(Metro) A Maryland armor manufacturer is introducing a handheld white board for school classrooms that's capable of stopping a bullet from a handgun fired at point-blank range.
Hardwire developed the white board in response to the elementary school shooting massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
The 18-by-20-inch white boards are intended to be used in the classroom as a teaching tool while also being large enough to cover the head and torso.
The user can slip a forearm inside handles on the back and use the board as a shield.
