Albemarle County Supervisor Chris Dumler has been asked to resign from his position on the Albemarle County  Board of Supervisors. 

The move comes after Dumlers conviction last week on one count of sexual battery. 

The votes supporting Dumler’s resignation came from Duane Snow, Rodney Thomas and Ken Boyd. 

Ann Mallek and Dennis Rooker voted against the resolution.

Chris Dumler abstained from the vote.
