(Metro) The U.S. State Department is still working to get a University of Virginia student released from a North Korean prison.
In recent weeks, tensions between the United States and North Korea have been growing over missile tests.
Otto Warmbier has been held in the country for nearly 17 months after he was convicted of an alleged crime against the state.
State officials say the Swedish Embassy is asking for Warmbier's exact location and for a chance to visit him.
Officials say they have not been allowed to do so since March 2016.
The U.S. State Department is urging North Korea to pardon Warmbier immediately.
